Pre-treatment: In some cases, patients may need further fertility tests based on their clinical circumstances. We can offer these tests at an additional cost. Examples of such tests are a Semen Analysis or Thyroid blood test. Exact costs will be discussed at the Consultation.

Male factor: If you have a fertility issue due to a male factor, you may require additional treatments such as ICSI.

Egg & Embryo Freezing: If you have additional embryos after your embryo transfer procedure, you will be given the option to freeze them at an additional cost of £995 which includes 2 years of storage. In specific cases, there may be a medical need to freeze embryos and a Frozen Embryo Transfer (FET) procedure.

In a limited number of cases, due to medical circumstances, patients may require medication that is not included within the package. The length of IVF treatment can vary depending on the specific circumstances of the patient. Typically, the process involves monitoring the patient's menstrual cycle, administering medications to stimulate egg production, retrieving eggs through a minor surgical procedure, fertilizing the eggs in the laboratory, and transferring the resulting embryos back into the patient's uterus. The entire process can take anywhere from 4-8 weeks.

The success rate of IVF treatment can vary depending on several factors, including the patient's age, the cause of fertility issues, and the specific IVF protocol being used. In general, the success rate for IVF is around 40% for women under 35, but it decreases as the patient's age increases.

IVF treatment carries a small risk of complications, including bleeding, infection, and damage to the uterus or ovaries. There is also a small risk of multiple pregnancies, which can lead to complications such as preterm labor and delivery. However, these risks can be minimized by carefully following the treatment plan and taking any necessary precautions.

Most patients do not experience significant pain during the IVF process. There may be some discomfort during the egg retrieval procedure, but this can be managed with medication. Some patients may also experience bloating or discomfort during the medication phase, but this is usually mild and can be managed with over-the-counter pain medication.

It is possible to get pregnant naturally after IVF. Some of the patients who have undergone IVF will need to use assisted reproductive technology to get pregnant in the future.

Yes, it is possible to freeze eggs or embryos for future use. Egg freezing can be done as part of the IVF process, and embryos can be frozen after the fertilization process. Frozen embryos can be stored for several years and used in a future IVF cycle.
